Firing your doctor

So I call into my psychiatrist for a monthly refill on Vyvanse which I take for ADHD and she writes me a refill for twelve days. What kind of wacko is she? Insurance will now charge me an additional co-pay if they will even cover the balance at all and since Vyvanse is a controlled substance, they may not even fill it at all. The nurse tried to explain all of this to her but she just didn't get it. So I am firing my nurse practioner and getting a new doctor. I see her this morning at eleven and she will get an earful from me which will be hard and uncomfortable especially since I am dealing with life without my medication. But she needs to know what a terrible bind she has put my family in. Medical professionals with all their power who just don't get it make me so angy. Wreaking havoc on our lives...We have dealt with half meds for days now and I have simply had to go without so the kids could have their half dose. I have had panic associated with running out of meds for the kids to be able to go to school. Not very helpful treatment for someone with an anxiety disorder who has frequent panic attacks.
