Anniversary
Yesterday was the 8th Anniversary of Magic Night. I received these beautiful flowers and a chocolate bar : ) Will and I went to Ballantyne Village and had a wonderfully relaxing dinner. The breeze was blowing and thanks to the thunderstorms earlier in the day, I actually had to put my jacket on since we sat outside so we could watch the lights play on the fountain.
We talked about love and magic and what we did on that first date, that first Magic Night. Then we ultimately decided that you couldn't pay us to go back. That what we have now is so much deeper and that we didn't want to have to go through what we had to go through then to get to where we are now. Our love is so much deeper and more realistic. Things have been pretty tough over the years and our counseling sessions have even dredged up enough to make things tense and painful of late. But all in all, we still have our very own magic and it's only made through the union of our souls, the undying love and never ending commitment to one another that outlasts growth spurts and times when we are stalled. We decided not to try to recreate the past but to move forward towards a new and better future filled with a kind of new magic of its own.
