The ebay way

A couple of weeks ago, I dipped my toes into the mysterious world of the stay-at-home ebaying Mom. I received my first payment yesterday for Jane's baby bed. Then two more of my buyers paid in full this morning. Yay!
It's been a real trial and error process though. The first item I listed, I described it as the wrong model accidentally and so it got sent back and I refunded the money. Worked out okay though, the lady gave me positive feedback.
Some of these Boutique Clothing Moms are pretty hardcore. They have what looks like professional photography and graphics and logos! I think I'll do that too once I figure out how to upload it...
Shana has been helping me a lot. She told me about the $5 rule...Don't buy anything to resell that is over $5 to start...and about how wrapping your wearables in tissue paper before you ship it goes a long way with making repeat customers. Little extras like that seem to make an impact.
So, today Jane and I are off to the thrift stores in search of some 2T Fall clothes for her. She has just about outgrown all of her 18 month stuff and it finally got cool here so she has a couple of Zoe's old sweaters that fit and nothing else for the season!
